A blower is a low–pressure compressor that is used to supply air or create a vacuum. According to the main parameters (performance and pressure drop), low-pressure compressors occupy a place between fans and compressors and are called industrial blowers.

Industrial blowers are supplied in horizontal or vertical versions (coupling blowers); on the frame, with a belt drive in the form of a single unit, they can be equipped with suction silencers, safety and check valves (belt-driven blowers). To reduce the noise pressure, noise-absorbing casings are offered that reduce the noise level by 15-20 dB.
